Visions of Sugarplums

It is Christmas Eve day, and there are 45 cupcakes in assorted varieties around my house. I have made chocolate filled with Oreos, gingerbread filled with lemon curd and iced with lemon buttercream, and candy cane iced with white chocolate peppermint icing. Is your mouth watering? It’s been hard to resist trying any of them, but they’re for Christmas dinner tomorrow! I hope they turned out OK – they’ve definitely been a labor of love. Check out this cute cupcake tree I made with random Christmas plates and cups! So far the peppermint ones aren’t on there, because I’m waiting to ice them til tomorrow, to avoid red candy dye leaking everywhere and turning my cupcakes pink!
