Not the Sharpest Tool in the Shed

Really, who thought that a pinata would make a great party game? It’s just about the most dangerous thing I can think of to do with kids. You get them all hyped up with sugar from birthday cake, and then you blindfold them, give them a stick, spin them around until they get dizzy, and set them free. All this in the hopes that they will actually hit the papier mache animal or cartoon character, spilling its candy guts all over the floor. Yeah, when you’re little you think it’s one of the greatest things ever. But truly, when you consider the logic of it, it doesn’t make much sense. At least not from a parental point of view. What I really don’t get about them is that people think it’s a good idea to do them inside. At the very least, if you’re going to blindfold kids and give them a stick to whack around, have the forethought to do it outside. Why would you ever run the risk of not just injuring yourself, but potentially breaking everything in your house? It just doesn’t seem worth it to me.

And don’t even get me started on pin the tail on the donkey.
